“let’s just exist” is inspired by my research of the body neutrality movement and individuals who speak out against fatphobia, ableism, and toxic ideologies connected to body image. Body neutrality is the concept that one should be able to be respected no matter what they look like, while also not feeling forced to feel only one way or the other about their body or their lifestyle choices. The movement also encourages individuals to focus more on the things their body can do for them, not just what they believe it should or shouldn’t look like. Overall, the goal of this project is to educate audiences on what body neutrality is and where to start their journey with developing a healthier relationship with their body.
